SAVS Reception Volunteer (20 -25)
Duties will include answering the telephone, transferring calls, dealing with enquires from members of the public, photocopying and assisting members of staff with admin as and when required. Good IT and customer service skills are essential.
Sports Disability Volunteer
Volunteers will be expected to go around with children and assist them to engage with activities. Children will have the opportunity to take part in various mainstream and Paralympics sports. Each child will be involved in multi skill activities, which will lead onto game situations.
This is a great opportunity for volunteers to have a range of experience in different fields, especially if they wish to work with disabled children whether in sport or not.
Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator (16-25)
The role of Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator is interesting, requires interaction with neighbours and can be extremely rewarding. The role of co-ordinator is to act as the point of contact between the Neighbourhood Watch Group at street level.
‘Talking Matters’ Stroke Group Volunteer (16-25)
Assist with the delivery of communication focuses activities in a group setting and helping to organise, and take part in group outings. This opportunity is a great way to gain experience in a language therapy setting by helping people recovering from a stroke. All sessions are fully supported by qualified staff and training is available.
Sexual Health Peer Educator South East Essex PCT (Public Health Team)
Opportunity for South Essex College students aged 16-19
Teach your fellow students about reproductive health, Sexual Transmitted Disease detection and treatment. Wide range of tasks involved from delivering talks and holding discussions in small groups to producing promotional material and attending publicity events.
Great opportunity for students interested in health and wellbeing and full training will be provided.

A young, vibrant radio station is seeking volunteers to run the news and local information service. Safe Radio will train and equip you to work from the Southend Studio where the central news office is based.
