Welcome
SOS Domestic Abuse Projects (formerly Southend Women’s Aid) was established in 1976 and became a registered charity in 1996.
In September 2009 after a time of change, we became SOS Domestic Abuse Projects. Our projects are based at the Dove Project and Fledgelings and include:
- A confidential help line
- Counselling
- A drop in centre
- Supervised child contact centre.
- Child and youth work in the local community
- Parenting support
- Workshops
- Training
We work with women, children, young people and families who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse, sexual abuse (including rape) and abuse during childhood. Our staff are experienced and qualified, and we aim to ensure that every individual is supported to overcome their experience of abuse and is provided with the ability to reach their potential in life.
Please use the links on the left to access further details of our projects, read about the support we can offer, find our contact details and learn how you can help us to assist women, children, young people and men experiencing domestic and sexual abuse.
